Statement of Faith
The statements below highlight what we believe are the foundational pillars of the Christian faith. We strive to live and grow based on these and other biblical truths that lead us to a life in and relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe that these truths are the framework in which we learn and grow thereby.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
GOD
We firmly believe in the One God, the I AM, who is the creator of everything. We believe He spoke the world into existence and created humanity in His image. Additionally, we believe that it is in and through Him that we move, we live, and we have our being. Furthermore, we trust that He has a unique plan and purpose for individuals, and it is His desire that none should perish but that all should seek repentance.
JESUS CHRIST
We hold the belief in Jesus Christ, the only Son of the Father, who was born of a virgin and lived to proclaim the kingdom of God. We affirm that Jesus was crucified, laid to rest in a borrowed tomb, conquered death, hell, and the grave, rose on the third day, walked among us for 40 days, and ascended into heaven, where He now sits at the right hand of God the Father, interceding for us. We recognize Jesus as the Way, the Truth, the Life, the Door, the True Vine, the Bread of Life, the Light of the World, the Good Shepherd, and our Savior, Lord, and Intercessor. We believe that Jesus will return as the Righteous Judge and the soon-coming King.
HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the breath of God, the fire of God, and the one promised by Jesus Christ to lead and guide the believer into all truth. Therefore, we believe that the Holy Spirit reveals, convicts, seals, baptizes, fills, and prays for the believer. It is He that bears witness that we are the children of God.
THE BIBLE
It has been said that the Bible contains our basic instructions before leaving earth. Therefore, we believe that the Bible is the inspired and inherent word of God. That it is God-breathed and " useful for instruction, for conviction, for correction, and for training in righteousness" (2 Tim. 3:16)
SALVATION
We hold the belief that salvation is found exclusively in Jesus Christ, who is the way, the truth, and the life; He is the only path to the Father. We cannot earn, work, or bargain our way into heaven, as Jesus Christ has already settled our debt with His sacrificial blood shed on the cross. We affirm that being born again is essential (John 3:3-7).
THE CHURCH
We believe that the Church (ecclesia) is the Body of Christ, with Jesus at its head. Our five-fold mission includes worshiping God through Jesus Christ, nurturing fellowship with one another, attaining unity in faith through discipleship, addressing the needs of each other and our communities, and reaching out to a lost and dark world through evangelism. Additionally, we believe that the five-fold ministry gifts described in Ephesians 4:11-16 encourage strategic growth, accountability, and strong sense of community.
